On Saturday, August 11, 2018, over two hundred children received backpacks full of school supplies at Kristi House’s annual Back-to-School Party. Thanks all our generous donors from throughout the community, we had enough book bags, school supplies, food, and fun for everyone at the party. Our donors held amazing drives, from which we were able to create over 400 fully-stuffed backpacks! As Kristi House keeps expanding, we have more and more children to prepare for school. Fortunately, we had enough school supplies and backpacks to also distribute to our four satellite offices, so that every child is best prepared.

The families we serve at Kristi House are in such great need. A majority of them are living well below the poverty line, and if we do not provide these Back-to-School essentials, our children simply do not have them. As we help them battle and overcome abuse, we rely on our community to help us provide these essentials. Thank you for ensuring hundreds of Miami children in crisis have one less thing to worry about as they start a new academic year.
