Transportation

Providing transportation is critical to many of the families we serve, enabling access, as well as improving client outcomes. Public transportation does not reach many of our families who are without vehicles. Currently Kristi House transportation involves four drivers in vans that take clients to and from Kristi House, its neighborhood satellite locations and other key agencies involved in cases. At Project GOLD, a driver in the north and a driver in south Miami-Dade transport girls every afternoon for programs, therapy and educational support at the Project GOLD Drop In Center. Transportation ensures all children and teens can access our services.

Kristi House staff with a brand-new, 12-passenger van made possible by grants from Ocean Reef Community Foundation and Victims of Crime Act. For many of our clients, transportation is a major challenge to accessing treatment, so we do everything we can to make sure our clients and families can get the help they need. This van will serve clients in deep south Miami-Dade/Homestead area.
