Children receiving services at Kristi House were treated to a week of holiday cheer and presents leading up to Christmas. Volunteers transformed Kristi House into a Winter Wonderland and each client and their families were invited to share holiday cheer with treats and hands-on activities, and a visit to the “toy store” (Boardroom in Central office, reception areas in North and South offices). Children got to choose what they really wanted from tables of unwrapped toys. Teens got to choose gift cards from the hat for cards worth $20 to $50 for favorite stores like Target and Walmart.

Numerous businesses, professional organizations and individuals conducted toy drives and collected donations on behalf of these children and families at Kristi House. We salute and thank all of them, listed below.

“This could not have been possible without tremendous community support for child sexual abuse victims we serve at Kristi House,” said Executive Director Claudia Kitchens. “We sincerely thank everyone for making the holidays a little brighter for families overcoming difficult days.”

An enormous thank you goes out to all the amazing community members, organizations, and companies who came together in their efforts to support the children of Kristi House. Amazing gifts, gift cards, decorations, holiday treats and time were generously donated. Every child was able to walk away with exactly what they wanted, including gifts for the family.
