We are striving, with the community’s generous help, to provide our families with both emotional healing and any extra support we can give.
That’s why this holiday season is perhaps more important than ever to hundreds of children in our care.
Holiday Drive
Your holiday donation can make the winter holidays a little brighter for the children and families we serve who are recovering from abuse.
Each year, Kristi House serves 2,000 children who are victims of crime, abuse, and trauma. Services have remained 100% free to families since founding, critical since most of the families seen at Kristi House are very low income, do not have insurance, and have no other place to turn for help. In our 28 years of service, we have treated 24,290 children and trained 157,000+ adults, children and professionals.
We hope to continue our holiday tradition and provide a light, festive environment for our clients during December. If it is in your capacity to help this year, we are seeking new, unwrapped toy donations. Gift cards work great for Kristi House teens.

TEENS
Over half of all children seen at Kristi House are 13 and older. For these teenagers, we find gift cards work best, or some of these gift ideas:
- Games: Jenga, Mancala, other board/card games
- Journals: agendas, calendars, coloring books for calming and mediation
- Art Supplies: colored pencils, paint, brushes, sketch pads
- Beauty Products: makeup, lotion, perfume
- Tech Gadgets: headphones, USB drives, chargers, portable chargers, phone cases
- Accessories: purses, bags, wallets, tote bags, sunglasses
Drop-Off: Please drop off your toy donation to Kristi House (1265 NW 12th Ave. Miami, FL 33136) anytime Monday through Friday, 8 am – 7 pm, or on Saturdays from 8 am – 1 pm. Email volunteer@kristihouse.org with your expected drop-off time.
Deadline: We ask to have all donations by Friday, December 15, 2023, in time to sort and organize for our holiday distribution. If you cannot drop off by this date, we will still happily accept your donation as we will continue distribution into the new year.
