This program seeks to improve the mental well-being of children and families in Miami-Dade through three initiatives. The first will provide education to children, youth and adults community-wide; another will serve Kristi House child clients and their caregivers; and the third will target service providers, particularly those who work with children and youth. The program builds upon Kristi House’s history of child safety prevention education in the community and training for other providers in evidence-based practices.

Kristi House Project HeadSTRONG presents MBF Mental Health Matters™ by Monique Burr Foundation for Children.
The consequences of failing to address adolescent mental health conditions extend to adulthood, impairing both physical and mental health and limiting opportunities to lead fulfilling lives as adults.
Kristi House continues to support our community’s children to stay safe and HeadSTRONG by offering an age-appropriate Mental Well-Being Program for children and teens. MBF Mental Health Matters™ is part of the comprehensive, evidence-based and trauma-informed curriculum provided by the Monique Burr Foundation, MBF Child Safety Matters.
