This workshop provides a basic overview of commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC), the extent of the problem and the impact this type of trauma has on children. It will also include tips for identifying and engaging victims and discussion of services victims need for healing and reintegration into mainstream society. The material is offered in lecture form through a PowerPoint presentation and videos. Group participation is encouraged. Participants will examine the following topics:

Impact of CSEC and Needs of Victims
Tips for service provision (customized for the audience)
There is no cost to attend however, space is limited, therefore RSVPs are required.
This course is approved by the State of Florida to fulfill the three-hour, in-person training required of those working with human trafficking victims.
The parking lot on which Kristi House sits is controlled by Miami-Dade County and is $10 per car. Kristi House has a few designated spots to the right as you enter the lot, and if those are available, guests are welcome to use. Please note parking is extremely limited, and if possible we encourage carpooling or public transportation. Kristi House is located two blocks south of Culmer Center Metrorail Station.
