Nearly 200 child clients and their siblings received book bags full of school supplies on August 9, 2014 during Kristi House’s annual Back to School party. Thanks to generous donors from throughout the community we had enough book bags, school supplies, food and raffle items for everyone at the party, ensuring their successful start to the school year.
We would like to thank our donors for our Back to School drive: Holland & Knight, Katia Castellano, Miami Marriott Dadeland, Nicole Dee, Miami-Dade County, La Bella Salon, Ladies Auxilary VFW, Assurant Solutions, Cassie Pettersson, The Office Depot Foundation, ADP Total Source Tax, Miami-Dade College, Papa Johns and Ericka Garcia. This tremendous support put smiles on the faces of our clients and their families.

These volunteers hauled in supplies, stuffed dozens of backpacks and helped organize and supervise the children at the party as they got their faces painted, competed in the dance contest, and laughed with the clown. Each child got to choose their favorite color or character on for their school backpack.
The amount of happiness our volunteers and donors brought to our clients and their families was contagious. We could not have done it without your help. Thank you to everyone, your hard work helped ensure these kids are starting the school year off on the right foot.
