Children at Risk During Coronavirus Crisis

Sexual Abuse Thrives in Isolation

As our community grapples with the coronavirus crisis, Kristi House is continuing to provide services to current and new children and families through tele-health platforms. Nevertheless, without our fundraising luncheon and in-person meetings with generous donors, we face an unprecedented loss of fundraising support from individuals and corporations in our community that have been the lifeblood of our services model for 25 years. Your support is needed now, more than ever before.

Ways to Support Kristi House:

1) Direct Donations
2) Breaking the Silence Luncheon
3) Social Media Video Supporters Campaign
4) Peer-to-Peer Fundraising

Remember! Shop Amazon Smile 🙂

Don’t forget when you’re ordering essentials, cleaning products, and office supplies from Amazon, select Kristi House as your charity. A percentage of your purchases will be donated back to us!

2) Early Commitment to Breaking the Silence Luncheon

Our Breaking the Silence Luncheon has been postponed untill Thursday, Oct. 29, 2020.

As one of our two major fundraising events supporting services at Kristi House, postponing the luncheon before our fiscal year ends on June 30th leaves us with a hole to fill in our budget. If you are able to make a commitment to the Luncheon now, or to make a donation to help bridge our funding gap, we would be most appreciative.

3) Social Media Video Supporters Campaign

We will be sharing messages from some important members of our community (founding members, board members, advocates, staff, etc.) showing why they support Kristi House.

Share these messages with a call to action of donating.

If you are moved to record or write your own message of support, we would be honored to share!

As a supporter of Kristi House for the last many years, I know how vital their services are to children recovering from abuse. Kristi House needs our help now more than ever to keep their doors open and ensure continuation of services to our most vulnerable children. A pandemic might stop the regular routines of work, school, and life, but a child experiencing trauma is still in crisis. And, we know from 25 years of experience, that during times of added stress, at-risk children are even more susceptible to abuse and exploitation.

If you are in a position to give, please consider joining me in my support. My goal is to raise $1,000 this week to ensure abused children have the support they need even during this pandemic. This is a scary time for all, but especially for those Kristi House serves. Thank you for helping me reach my goal and giving hope to children and families less fortunate. Every amount makes a difference, thank you!
